This Past weekend members of the Karhu Telemark Team made their way out to Utah for a two day session of water ramping @ The Utah Olympic Park. Braving some epic weather and some cold temperatures, the small group managed to throw down some new tricks and smooth out their old favorites, all to get ready for the upcoming season.
Day One:
A sunny morning got everyone stoked for the day as they made their way to Park City on Saturday. Although there were a few coffee spilling incidents along the way, everyone was unscathed…with a little less caffeine in them.
A quick tramp session kicked it all off... Ty Dayberry throwing down some smooth spins and grabs, representing the freeheel tribe. Then it was on to the ramps and putting the skis on. There was little time to do much as the weather began to change. Lorenzo Worster and Josh Madsen stayed out for a bit, trying to dial it all in, but with an unheated pool and poor visibility due to snow flying they decided to call it.
Day Two:
With a good night’s sleep under the belt and a bluebird day…all the boys were stoked for another venture up to PC. Dayberry and Worster hit it hard from the get go throwing down smooth switch 540s and cork 720s. Ty Dayberry was also polishing his switch 900s, the trick that won him first place at last year’s big air @ the Nationals.
The weather held out for a great morning and afternoon session at the ramps leaving the Karhu guys stoked for the upcoming season!
