The Freeheel Life Podcast
Conversations About Telemark Skiing, Culture, and History
The Freeheel Life Podcast is where I slow things down and have long-form conversations about Telemark skiing — the turn itself, the culture around it, and the people who’ve shaped freeheel skiing over the years.
These aren’t quick takes or hype-driven episodes. They’re thoughtful discussions rooted in experience, history, and a shared respect for the craft of Telemark skiing.
What the Podcast Is About
On the podcast, I explore:
- Telemark technique and philosophy
- The history of freeheel skiing
- Gear evolution and design
- Stories from skiers, builders, and pioneers
- How Telemark skiing fits into a modern ski world
Some episodes are interviews. Others are reflections or deep dives into ideas that don’t fit neatly into short videos or social media posts.
Why I Started the Podcast
I started the Freeheel Life Podcast to create space for conversations that don’t rush to conclusions.
Telemark skiing has always been about feel, balance, and intention — and those same values guide the podcast. It’s a place to document ideas, preserve stories, and think out loud with people who care deeply about freeheel skiing.
The podcast also complements the writing, archives, and experiments you’ll find throughout this site.
