Ski Information:

Fischer’s Ranger series impressed our testing squad, big time, and chief among that line-up is the ever-impressive 98 Ti. If you prefer a directional ski that isn’t afraid of pivoting on a dime, the Ranger is for you. Built with a beech/poplar core, carbon nose and titanium inserts, the ski is equipped to take on the burliest of objectives while also delivering top-notch everyday performance, both on- and off-piste. Its “Aeroshape” cuts out unnecessary material to reduce weight, resulting in a smooth, cambered design; i.e. engaging these suckers in a turn is easy-peezy. “This ski inspires fuzzy feelings in the belly,” described one tester. “Super stiff but forgiving. Incredibly lightweight and easy to slash and throw sideways.”

  • Turn Radius: 18 m at 180 cm
  • Sidecut: 132/98/122 mm
  • Weight: 1700 g at 180 cm

Binding Information:

Leaving the traditional 75mm duckbill behind, the progressive New Telemark Norm – NTN – is easier, smoother, and stronger. The binding’s construction and performance are unlike anything you’ve ever skied. NTN Freeride gives the skier unparalleled edge control and offers the simplicity and security of an alpine binding without sacrificing the freedom of the heels. Depending on the skier’s weight, boot size and ability, he/she can choose from different Power Tubes (springs): Green (Soft) or Blue (Medium).

NTN users experience immediate energy transfer from boot to edge. Plus, new spring technology provides an even, smooth and adjustable forward flex. The NTN binding has a sideways release system and the springs can be pre-tightened or reduced in tightness. NTN bindings are also symmetrical; no left or right ski.

Easy in - easy out means you never have to bend over to put on your telemark binding again. With the grip of a ski pole, flick the lever open, step in, and push the lever back down.

Condition: These skis are in great condition. Please see pictures for more details.
